MISSION STATEMENT

North Country Orthopedic Specialist is dedicated to improving the activities of those injured in the vigorous game of life. We specialize in joint replacement, ACL reconstruction, Carpal Tunnel release, arthroscopic knee surgery, arthroscopic shoulder surgery, joint pain, nerve conduction studies and all aspects of fracture care. We also offer non-operative arthritis treatment for those with mild to moderate disease. Caring for patients from all around Upstate, New York (Saratoga, Glens Falls, Queensbury, Lake George). Using our knowledge and experience to provide you thorough patient information is one of our highest values.

APPOINTMENTS

When calling for an appointment, our office does our best to arrange to see you as soon as possible. Because some orthopedic problems are more urgent than others, we may ask for more patient information concerning your condition. If the problem is an emergency, whenever possible you will be scheduled to be seen the same day. We make every effort to schedule office visits in such a manner that delays do not occur, however, occasionally a patient may take more time than expected, which may cause a delay in our schedule. We do ask for your patience when these situations arise.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, we request that you call the office in advance to cancel your appointment so that we may schedule the appointment for another patient who may be waiting to be seen. For our patient’s convenience, our office has implemented a personalized appointment reminder system called HouseCalls. This system will provide our patients with the courtesy of a timely reminder for upcoming appointments. Our reminder system will call you at home prior to your scheduled appointment to confirm the day, date, and time of your next appointment. You will be prompted to confirm the appointment by pressing the appropriate number on your touch tone telephone keypad. This system provides a more efficient means of communication, enabling our entire staff to fully concentrate on serving you during your appointment.

Please plan to arrive approximately 10 minutes early for your appointment. You may be more comfortable during your leg office examination if you bring shorts to your visit. If you have x-rays of the body part for which you are being seen, please bring these to your appointment. By referring to these x-rays, we can decrease need for any additional x-ray exposure to our patients. If you are looking for more patient information please do not hesitate to contact us. PRESCRIPTION REFILLS

For your protection, prescription refills will only be provided during normal office hours. Please give our office 48 hours notice when requiring a refill to allow our staff adequate time to get refill authorization from your physician.

INSURANCE BILLING

Our office is happy to submit claims to your insurance company on your behalf. In order to provide you this service, it is necessary for the billing staff to have complete and accurate insurance information. Our staff will ask to make a copy of your insurance card when you arrive for your visit so please be sure to have this with you. If you have no insurance coverage, please contact our billing staff before services are rendered to discuss a payment plan. Please note: Patients are expected to pay their copayment at the time of service.

Our office participates with a number of local insurance carriers. Please contact our office to check our participation status with your particular insurance plan.

PAYMENT ACCEPTED

Our office is happy to work with each patient individually to establish a payment plan for any patient balances incurred as a result of their visit to our office. We accept Mastercard, Visa, personal checks as well as cash.
